Richard Ennis Kennedy, 74, of Zephyrhills passed away January 9, 2025. He was born December 23, 1950, in Dade City, FL to Reuben and Mildred (Hill) Kennedy.

Mr. Kennedy served in the military and was a retired employee of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and AirScan. He was the current President of the Zephyrhills Ham Radio Club, a past Master of the Desoto Masonic Lodge of Riverview, and a past Member of the Tampa Scottish Rite Freemasonry.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Kennedy; son, Richard Kennedy II (Melinda) of Zephyrhills, FL; daughter, Peggy Grow (Tom) of St. Pete; two grandsons, Richard Kennedy III (Karissa) and Joshua Manning; granddaughter, Shelby-Lynn Manning; great granddaughter, Kyler Kennedy; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Kennedy.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Saturday, January 25, at Hodges Funeral Home, Dade City. Funeral Services will take place 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
